A Theme for the Yearbook: Cookbook

In Media and Communications we were assigned our first task as media hungry students. We were all divided into groups of four and had to brainstorm, and design a theme for this year’s school yearbook. We had no limits and no boundaries, we just had our brains to help us through the madness. My group instantly thought of food. A common love by all SEM students that never seems to change nor alter. N matter the conversation you are having with a SEM girl, food can be factored into the conversation. Therefore our theme became a cookbook. We researched many different versions of cookbooks, to brainstorm titles and came up with themes for each grade relating to food. We had planned out every aspect of the yearbook and consistently kept with the theme of cooking. After putting together a presentation, each group had to show off their ideas for the yearbook theme to the actual schools yearbook staff. I thought this was a cool aspect to the project because we truly had to support and make our project enthusiastic to others in the hope that they would select it to be this year’s SEM yearbook. Winning by default, my group, with the idea of a cookbook, was the brains and inspiration to this year’s yearbook theme. I am excited to see what the Seminaria staff does with our ideas.
