Media Maddie 

 

I decided to design my portfolio as a reflection on myself and the class.

 

Communications is a field of study I have been interested in for a long time. I love the idea of how powerful the media can be and how much it changes every day. The power of new advances in society amazes me, and I feel as if there is so much we are ignorant to about the media and how it all happens behind the scenes.

 

My website design reflects different types of social media that have risen to fame in my day and age.My colors are clean and crisp and bright reflecting the colors of social media brands, and the fonts are easy to read. I do not like when I have trouble reading fonts and fancy letters online or event on paper. I incorporated those, because the class I have just finished taking is a Media and Communications class. Learning and discovering more about the media world. 

 

My logo, featured on the left hand side of the page, is my personal brand that I designed for myself. MCC are my initials standing for Madeline Claire Caywood. I love monograms, and have them put on a lot of my belongings. My favorite color is pink, hence the pink dots, and they circle my initials or monogram. Although at first they were just a simple decoration to make my logo "jazzy" I now find more symbolism in them, representing all of the crazy things that surround me, just like all the crazy media that surrounds all of us every day.
